Exit Interviews

Some departures are welcomed, some are questioned, and some simply hurt.  The cost for the wrong hire is typically 3-5 times the person’s salary.  Regardless of how long someone has been at a company, the company can learn a tremendous amount from employees leaving.  Letting an employee leave without immediately acquiring as much information as possible is a lost investment.  Companies cannot afford to let their investments walk out the door without understanding the why behind the move.  Understanding the why is just the first step.  What a company does with the why is the final important step.
